Actress Rashmi Gautam, who is in the process of recovering from surgery, recently shared her Bali vacation photos on Instagram, sparking a backlash from a netizen. The individual criticized her for vacationing amid the national mourning for the Pulwama attack, stating, “While the entire country is submerged in grief due to the Pulwama terrorist attack, you’re going for a vacation?”
In a direct response, Rashmi posted a screenshot of the comment on X (formerly Twitter), clarifying her position. “Currently, I am in Bali. This country holds a close connection to my culture and traditions, which is why I came here. The trip was planned two months ago, and I enjoy taking a trip to a new destination for my birthday every year. Please don’t forget to wish me tomorrow. Additionally, I’m just recovering from surgery,” she stated.
Rashmi had previously shared her struggles with severe shoulder pain and unexpected bleeding. She consulted with doctors and underwent surgery on the 18th of the month. Before the surgery, she had posted photos on Instagram, indicating her need for three weeks of rest before returning to work.
In her Bali post, Rashmi elaborated, “This trip was planned two months ago to explore new adventures and enjoy nature. However, now it is about rest, sleep, and savoring my favorite foods. Life has its own way of teaching us through unexpected paths.”
