Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has expressed his desire for villages to become autonomous systems.He said that he has told the officials to spend the funds of the panchayats on them. He attended the Panchayat Raj Day organized at the C.K. Convention Center in Mangalagiri, Guntur district as the chief guest.
Pawan Kalyan inspected the stalls of the Employment Guarantee Scheme and viewed a photo exhibition on the work undertaken in rural areas. Pawan Kalyan and the officials expressed their condolences to the victims of the terror attack. He explained that thousands of kilometers of roads have been built in a short time with the cooperation of the officials and employees.
Pawan Kalyan congratulated the officials Shashibhushan Kumar and Krishna Teja, who paid special attention to this. Pawan appreciated them for working with sincerity to strengthen the panchayat system. He said that the process of transfers in Panchayati Raj was done without money or recommendatioesns.
He revealed that funds were given to the villages irrespective of the parties. He thanked the contractors who trusted the government and carried out the work. He said that it was true that there was a delay in the release of funds from the center. He said that he had received information that the funds would arrive very soon.
Pawan Kalyan reminded that the 15th Finance Commission funds were not given to the panchayats by the previous government, and that more than a thousand crores of Finance Commission funds were released after the coalition came to power. He said that village development plans are being prepared and implemented, and corruption has been curbed through effective management of social inspections.
Pawan Kalyan stated that he would never work by violating the rule book. He said that funds were given to villages irrespective of parties and he hoped that villages would develop. Pawan said that no development had taken place in the villages due to the previous government, and reminded that funds were given to more than 75 lakh workers under the Employment Guarantee Scheme under the coalition government.
