Comedian-turned-hero Sampoornesh Babu, known for delivering laughs on the Telugu silver screen, is all set to entertain audiences with his upcoming film Sodharaa. As part of the film’s promotions, the actor gave an exclusive interview to Suman TV, reflecting on his journey in cinema and addressing personal and professional topics.
Speaking about his career, Sampoornesh said, “It’s a surprise even to me that I’ve completed 11 years as a hero. This journey has been very fulfilling and happy.”
He recalled the early days of his popularity, stating, “I rose to fame suddenly, and at times, I feel I couldn’t fully enjoy the craze that came with it.”
Sharing insights into his personal life, the actor mentioned, “My wife Uma Rani runs a mission. We have two daughters—one is pursuing B.Tech and the other is in Intermediate. As daughters of Narasimhachari, they prefer to live a simple life. They avoid using my name publicly and even commute by buses and autos, just like I do. I truly admire that simplicity.”
Addressing the recent rumours about his health, Sampoornesh clarified, “There were speculations that I was unwell because I hadn’t appeared on screen for four to five years. But there is no truth to those reports. I have worked on films, but due to delays in their release, such rumours surfaced. I am perfectly healthy.”
Sodharaa is expected to hit theatres soon.
