Dhanush will be coming back to the big screen with a highly anticipated film, Kuberaa, which is one of the biggest pan-India films hitting screens in 2025. Directed by the Shekar Kammula, the film stars Akkineni Nagarjuna in a pivotal role alongside its starry cast.
To launch the movie’s promotional drive, the crew has launched the first single, “Poyiraa Mama,” a hard-hitting number rendered by no less than Dhanush himself in Telugu. With music by the always-gifted Devi Sri Prasad (DSP), the song has a haunting, emotionally charged tune. Penned by Bhaskar Bhatla, the lyrics address heavy subjects such as death and goodbyes — an unusual and risky subject for mainstream films that hits a very emotional chord with the audience.
Although the song’s theme is gloomy, the music is exquisitely intense, bringing forth a thunderous emotional response. Sekhar VJ’s choreography adds to the emotional gravity of the song, with Dhanush performing magnificently and infusing passion into every step he takes, so that each move tugs at the viewer’s heart.
