Meenakshi Natarajan Asks Congress Leaders To Follow RSS In Meeting people

Congress party Telangana affairs in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan has advised Congress leaders and workers to follow the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in meeting people individually and explain them about government programs. She made it clear that it is not enough to rely on the media or social media to take government schemes and the party to the people.

She said that party leaders and workers should go to the people and talk face to face and only then will the people come closer to the leaders, the party and the government. A review meeting was held with the leaders of Chevella and Zaheerabad Lok Sabha constituencies at Gandhi Bhavan on Friday.

TPCC Chief Mahesh Kumar Goud, Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha, former ministers Geetha Reddy and Shabbir Ali were present.

Meenakshi asked the party leaders during the review why they are not able to take the government schemes to the people? Many seniors replied that the leaders who had survived the party for 10 years in the opposition had lost their priority at the field level. All the power was with the new party members.

They deplored that it would be difficult if old leaders were not given priority in government and party posts. Some leaders said that in order to penetrate the people, leaders and activists should be in government posts and party posts. The lack of such things has become a problem.

They asked to hold local bodies elections as soon as possible. They suggested that a solution be thought of for coordination between old and new leaders. Responding to this, Meenakshi Natarajan said that she will talk to CM Revanth Reddy after he returns from his foreign trip and think of a solution to this problem.

She assured that those who trust the party will have priority in posts. Instead of hastily forming booth committees during elections, she said that she will start building the party from the village level now, which will also be beneficial in local elections.

Meanwhile, Meenakshi inquired about the reasons for the Congress’ defeat in the Chevella Lok Sabha seat. She advised the party ranks to work with the aim of defeating the BJP by the next Lok Sabha elections.

TPCC Chief Mahesh Goud warned that if the leaders cross the party line, action will be taken. He said that they are lagging behind in the promotion of government development programs. He advised party leaders and activists to work in coordination and take development and welfare programs widely to the people.
