KTR Asks PM Modi probe Into Kancha Gachibowli Lands Row, prove No collusion Between Congress, BJP

BRS Working President and former minister KT Rama Rao has emphasised that it is time for the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to prove his sincerity and commitment to environmental protection in the wake of the ongoing controversies about the Kancha Gachibowli land dealings.

He urged him to  investigate the environmental damage and financial irregularities of the Revanth Reddy government in this regard and prove that there was no collusion between Congress and BJP. KTR’s request comes amid allegations of financial irregularities and environmental violations linked to the 400-acre Kancha Gachibowli land.

He said that PM Modi should prove his sincerity regarding the destruction in these lands. If what Prime Minister Modi said about the destruction done by CM Revanth Reddy in HCU is not just a hoax, he said then action should be taken.

In this regard, KTR asserted that the Kancha Gachibowli issue is not only an environmental destruction of hundreds of acres, but also a financial fraud of Rs. 10,000 crores by the Congress government. “We have already informed the Central Vigilance Commission, CBI, ABI, SEBI and SFIO about the financial fraud done by Congress along with evidence”, he said.

Moreover, he said that the Supreme Court appointed Central Empowered Committee has also confirmed that financial irregularities have taken place and it  has suggested an independent investigation.

So, he demanded that the Central Government should immediately investigate the financial irregularities. In the context of rapid urban expansion, he said that environmental protection should be a top priority.

In his appeal, KTR highlighted that Prime Minister Modi, who has previously criticized the Congress government over similar issues in Telangana, “must now act decisively to uphold environmental norms and transparency.”  He urged that the central government should immediately conduct an investigation into the financial irregularities of Rs. 10,000 crore in Kancha Gachibowli.

Meanwhile, KTR accused Revanth Reddy of orchestrating the scam and deflecting blame, dismissing Reddy’s claim that no wildlife exists in Kanche Gachibowli.  “A Telangana High Court Registrar’s report confirmed the presence of diverse fauna, contradicting Reddy,” he added.

KTR also criticised the alleged mortgaging of a water body within the land as reckless, demanding Reddy’s accountability. “Leaders like Revanth Reddy, who shamelessly exploit systems, must be exposed,” he said.
