Indian Railways have issued orders to extend the Sri Sathya Sai Prasanthi Nilayam – Bangalore MEMU train upto Anantapur. The Indian Railways has responded to the long-standing desire of the common people of Anantapur. The Central Railway Board has issued an official order on April 15, to extend the MEMU train running from Sri Sathya Sai Prasanthi Nilayam to Bangalore up to Anantapur.
This will be the first train that starts from Anantapur railway station. This solid decision was possible due to the continuous efforts of Anantapur TDP MP Ambika Lakshminarayana. Keeping in mind the travel needs of the people, he has demanded in Parliament sessions and met the General Managers of South Central Railway (SCR) and South Western Railway (SWR) several times and explained the need to extend the Puttaparthi- Bangalore train up to Anantapur.
To resolve this issue, he personally met Union Minister of State for Railways, Veeranna Somanna, and requested him to intervene in the matter and extend the Puttaparthi- Bangalore train to Anantapur. With their cooperation, he was able to convince the two railway zones and provide the long-awaited train facility to the people of Anantapur.
With this extension, it will now be easy to travel from Anantapur to Bangalore. This will bring great relief not only to ordinary passengers but also to students, employees and businessmen. In addition to the existing stoppages, this extension has also been added to the travel route by providing train stopping facilities at Someshwara, Vidhu Rasvartham, Kotha Cheruvu, Basampalle, Chigicherla, Jangalapalli and Prasannayanapalle stations.
This train extension is not only a decision that will boost the economic and social progress of Anantapur district, but will also stand as a milestone in the development of transport. On this occasion, Anantapur MP Ambika Lakshminarayana thanked the Indian Railways, Railway officials and the Union Minister of State. This train will depart from Anantapur station at 2.10 pm and reach Bangalore station at 7 pm.
