Telugu cinema’s biggest actor NTR is set to report to the sets of his new film directed by Prashanth Neel from April 22. The three-week shoot this schedule promises will have a high-energy and action-packed ride. In order to get ready for the physically demanding part, NTR has transformed dramatically, losing weight to take on a leaner, meaner appearance.
The movie, tentatively titled “Dragon”, will have Rukmini Vasanth play the female lead, making her highly awaited debut in Telugu cinema. The film is being made on a big scale by Mythri Movie Makers in association with NTR Arts, with shooting on location in Hyderabad. Praised for his intense narrative and visual approach, director Prashanth Neel has kept his core team of veteran technicians on board to make the film live up to the lofty standards of his earlier blockbusters.
Although the makers initially announced a Sankranthi 2026 release, buzz from the industry circles suggests that the film might be rescheduled for a summer 2026 release, owing to the film’s massive scale and time-intensive post-production work.
At the same time, NTR is also completing War 2, in which he is acting along with Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan. This big-budget action drama is coming on the big screens on August 14, 2025, and is already creating huge hype among the audience.
