Police Questions co-pilot of YS Jagan’s Helicopter After A Row over His security

After the YSRCP leadership created a big uproar over the security threat of the former chief minister and the party’s chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy during his recent visit to Puttaparthi constituency, the AP police have started investigation into what really happened.

It may be recalled that Jaganmohan Reddy had visited Papireddypalli in Ramagiri mandal on the 8th of this month to  visit the family of YSRCP activist Lingamayya, who was murdered.

Jagan, who reached there by a helicopter, returned back in a car as his followers flowed into the helipad and created havoc. The police, who started investigation into the developments at the helipad on the occasion have issued notices to the pilot and co-pilot to come for questioning to explain the developments that took place that day.

As part of this, co-pilot Shreyas Jain attended the questioning on Wednesday. Dharmavaram DSP Hemanth Kumar and CKPally CI Sridhar met at the Circle Inspector (CI) office in CKPally, Sri Sathya Sai district and questioned Shreyas Jain for about four hours. After the questioning was completed, the co-pilot returned to Bengaluru.

CI Sridhar stated that Shreyas Jain answered all the questions they asked. He said that pilot Anil Kumar did not attend the questioning as he was on leave and he will be given notices again. According to the police, a helipad was set up under the auspices of the party. As soon as he landed there, YSRCP ranks surrounded Jagan by pushing barricades.

On this occasion, the party leaders alleged that the helicopter windshield was damaged and that it was due to the security failure of the government and the police. They said that their leader YS Jagan was not in a position to travel in a helicopter and had to travel by road. With this, the police have issued notices to the pilot, co-pilot and the management company in Jakkur, Karnataka, to clarify the developments at the helipad.
