A senior IPS officer, who is now under suspension and was notorious for his proximity with the former chief minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy, in the previous regime, is now said to be continuing his services to the former ruling party YSRCP.
He is said to be playing a key role in helping YSRCP leaders and also a number of officers, who are facing various investigations for their irregularities and corruption practices during the previous regime. He is allegedly advising them how to escape from the investigation process by various probe agencies and also how to take relief from the judiciary.
He is said to have played key role during the previous regime in framing illegal cases against all the TDP leaders, including the then opposition leader Chandrababu Naidu. While the coalition government is investigating the scams and irregularities committed during the Jagan regime, he is reportedly playing a key role in creating obstacles.
Using his clout among some police officers, he is able to secure information about the movements of the various probe agencies in advance and prepare on how to create hurdles. The AP police higher authorities are said to be keeping a watch on his movements and activities.
He has been reportedly advising YSRCP leaders, who are under scanner of the government for their previous irregularities, on what precautions should be taken to avoid being found while absconding? He is said to be leading a large network with some police officers involved in various cases.
Moreover, he is allegedly threatening officers involved in investigation of such cases. He is said to be in constant touch with the lower level officers lilke DSPs and CIs, who are involved in the investigation process and making efforts to influence them. The behavior of that officer, who is acting as a representative of Tadepalli Palace, has now become a topic of discussion in the police department.
The irregularities of several IPS officers who acted illegally during the five-year rule of the YSRCP and supported the party came to light after the formation of the coalition government. The victims who were scared of them at that time are now coming out and complaining. Many of such anarchic officers are under suspension and waiting.
The said police officer is reportedly running a parallel network with some of them and also adjusting financial and other resources, who are facing various investigations.
