Ilaiyaraaja Issues Legal Notice to ‘Good Bad Ugly’ Producers

Renowned music composer Ilaiyaraaja has sent legal notices to the producers of the recently released Tamil film Good Bad Ugly, starring Ajith, accusing them of using his songs without prior authorization.

In his notices, Ilaiyaraaja claims that three of his well-known tracks, which he had composed in the past, were recreated and used in the film without obtaining the necessary rights or permissions. The composer stated that this is a clear violation of copyright laws and demanded that the producers pay a compensation of ₹5 crore for the infringement.

Furthermore, Ilaiyaraaja has requested the immediate removal of the three tracks from the film and an official public apology from the producers.

Good Bad Ugly, directed by Adhik Ravichandran, was released on April 10, and stars Ajith in the lead role. The film, which falls under the action-comedy genre, has received a mixed response from audiences. As of now, the production house has not issued an official response regarding the legal notice from Ilaiyaraaja.
