Filmmaker Sailesh Kolanu is in the final stages of post-production for his much-anticipated thriller, HIT: The Third Case, starring Nani and Srinidhi Shetty in lead roles. The film is set to release on May 1, 2025, promising an intense and immersive cinematic experience.
However, just weeks before its theatrical debut, HIT 3 has found itself at the center of an unexpected controversy. Reports recently surfaced suggesting that a popular Kollywood star will have a special cameo in the film, leading to a full-fledged role in HIT 4. This leaked information has quickly spread across social media, fueling curiosity among fans.
The revelation has deeply upset Sailesh Kolanu, who took to X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday evening to express his frustration. In a strongly worded post, the director criticized the irresponsible media leaks, highlighting the immense effort that goes into crafting a film’s impact in theaters.
Sailesh Kolanu’s Powerful Statement on the Leak
“For every single moment of excitement that is experienced in the cinemas by our audience, there is a story of a huge team working relentlessly for days and nights together, slogging beyond their physical capabilities. All for that moment of impact that we want to create in the auditorium. We take pride in that.
It’s sad to see the plight of the media scenario today, some of whom don’t think even for a second before leaking details about the kind of moments that are meant to be enjoyed while watching the movie in theaters only.
While the nature of the job to report first is understandable, it boils down to the values and ethics of individual journalists and media houses to assess if it’s right or wrong to report the findings. There are moments in history where journalists rose above their job description and chose not to report some events just because it wasn’t right.
I only wish these certain bunch of people had that kind of class. This kind of reporting is not just stealing a film crew’s hard work; it’s equivalent to stealing directly from the audience.”
