With this case of high-profile robbery, they now find themselves entangled, the friends need to clear their names while trying to steer their way through complexities and turns. Review:
The camaraderie of Manoj (Ram Nithin), Ashok (Narne Nithiin), and Damodhar (Sangeeth Sobhan) is the welcome friendship that propels the comedy and levity in the movie.
The limelight falls on Vishnu Oi as Laddu, who gives an unforgettable performance with his fantastic timing for comedy. He effortlessly portrays the character as relatable and fun. Ram Nithin manages to hold his ground and contribute to the chemistry of the group, while Sangeeth Sobhan impresses with his humor and wit.
Muralidhar Goud excels as Laddu’s father, infusing warmth and laughter into his performance and impeccable comic timing. Sunil’s cameo as MAX, the gangster, lends a seasoned flavor to the comedy, but his character is a bit underdeveloped. Priyanka Jawalkar is beautiful on screen but doesn’t get much space to prove her acting mettle. Supporting actors Raghu Babu and Anudeep KV provide a couple of guffaws, although their roles are short-lived.
MAD Square is a lighthearted coming-of-age comedy that survives on its humor and lively moments. Even though the storyline takes a secondary position, the movie continues to provide laughs with its fast-paced and compact duration. It’s ideal for people looking for seamless entertainment.
The second half gets in on the action with a barrage of laughs, particularly in the sidesplitting wedding sequence that includes Laddu. Laughs are there in the second half too as the gang goes haywire in Goa and situations are laugh-out-loud material. While a few jokes ring forced, and the plot isn’t deep, the movie makes up for its relentless comic punch.
Director Kalyan Shankar concentrates on developing a laugh riot instead of an intelligible story. Although the movie is full of humorous parts, with a more intense plot and with the characters used more effectively, the experience would have been better.
In music, the “Swathi Reddy” track is a foot-tapping highlight, and the rest of the tracks are good enough. The background score is fine, too, matching the light-hearted feel of the movie. Good production values provide a visual gloss, boosting the movie’s overall look.
All in all, MAD Square is an enjoyable entertainer that serves up plenty of chuckles and positive vibes, making it a enjoyable watch for anyone who enjoys madcap comedies.
