CM Chandrababu Assure Muslims He would protect Waqf properties

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has assured the Muslim community that he would protect the Waqf properties. He promised to take responsibility for the development of Muslim minorities in all ways, not only to maintain religious harmony. He made it clear that Telugu Desam is the only one that has worked for the development of Muslims.

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu participated in the Iftar celebrations organized in Vijayawada. The CM expressed his happiness at being a partner in the Ramzan festival for the past 40 years. He described the month of Ramzan as a combination of discipline, charity and religious thoughts.

He praised the strict fasting from morning to evening as a great tradition. The CM said that they are moving forward by cultivating a positive attitude like reading the Quran, praying, meditating and helping others, and reminded that the good quality that the Quran teaches is that those who have money should help others.

Chandrababu praised the people who help the poor from their hard-earned money by starting a program called Zakat during the holy month of Ramzan.

He said that the P-4 program is being launched in the month of Ramzan itself and reiterated that it is being undertaken with the aim of providing assistance to the 20 percent of the poorest families who are the 10 percent of the wealthy.

He revealed that we are moving forward under the name of Margadarshi-Bangaru Kutumbat and that it is my life’s ambition to be with the poor. He clarified that the poor among Muslims will be brought into development in all ways.

He said that Rs. 5,300 crores have been allocated for the welfare of minorities in this year’s budget, which is more than Rs. 1,300 crores of last year. He criticized the previous YSRCP government for bringing GO 43 and making the Waqf Board controversial. 

Now, he said that GO was cancelled and the Waqf Board has been revived. It was announced that qualified Imams will be appointed as Qazis. Minister Farooq, Waqf Board Chairman Abdul Aziz, Minority Rights Protection Committee State President Farooq Shibli and Muslim religious leaders participated in the program.
