The highly expected film Robinhood featuring Nithiin and Sreeleela has been creating buzz among the audience. Directed and written by Venky Kudumula and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, the film also stars veteran actor Rajendra Prasad in a prominent role. Adding more fuel to excitement, David Warner also made an appearance in the film as a guest, which has been widely discussed among the audience.
David Warner’s visit to the pre-release event of Robinhood increased the hype around the film further. However, a casual comment by Rajendra Prasad during the event became controversial. In his address to the gathering, Rajendra Prasad employed informal Telugu terms like “Vaadu” and “Veedu” while referring to Warner. The loose comments did not go down with some individuals and supporters and attracted flak on social media for disrespect to the cricketer.
Realizing the delicacy of the matter, Rajendra Prasad immediately made a sincere apology in the form of a video statement. In the video, he conveyed his respect for Warner and explained his intention. He stated, “I have always had great admiration and respect for David Warner as a cricketer and even as an individual. Warner likes Indian films very much and the art of acting, and I have become fond of him along the way. If my quote inadvertently hurt the feelings of an individual, then I am quite sorry. Believe me, I did not have any intention to do so and apologize for this misunderstanding.”. I tender my most sincere apologies to each one of you.
Robinhood, its lead cast and director, continues to create a sensation before its release, and audiences are looking forward enthusiastically to seeing the on-screen chemistry between the actors and David Warner’s guest appearance.
