Posani Krishna Murali has been embroiled in numerous legal cases, mostly pertaining to his purported derogatory comments against Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan. In the last few days, Posani was granted bail in many of these cases, giving rise to hopes of his release from custody. But in a surprise development, the CID stepped in, reviving an old case and arresting him on a PT warrant, adding to his legal woes.
In a significant turn of events today, the CID Court in Guntur wrapped up hearing in the case and released Posani on bail. The allegations were over allegations of morphing the photo of Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan. This order provides a major respite to Posani, who had already been granted bail in some of the other pending cases. With this, most of the legal obstacles that were preventing his release have now been removed.
But considering the CID’s track record of making belated interventions, hopes are kept pending until Posani is released from jail officially. Ailing Posani had made an impassioned plea to the court, which tipped the scales in favor of his bail.
Unless further cases are filed, Posani Krishna Murali can be expected to walk out of Guntur Jail tonight or early tomorrow morning.
