High Court Blow To YSRCP MP Mithun Reddy

YSRCP MP Mithun Reddy, who is under allegations in a big liquor scam involving the former YSRCP government in Andhra Pradesh, suffered a huge legal blow today. The High Court rejected his anticipatory bail petition, which could open the door for the CID to take further action against him.

The case is related to serious allegations of bringing in unauthorized brands of liquor into the state, resulting in alleged financial discrepancies worth almost ₹4,000 crore. Mithun Reddy, ex-Beverages Corporation MD Vasudeva Reddy, and many others are being thoroughly investigated by the CID in relation to these allegations.

During the hearing, the High Court stated that there was no way they could grant protection from arrest to Mithun Reddy. The court also directed the CID to give full information regarding the case and adjourned the case till Monday. In this ruling, the CID has taken a step forward in arresting Mithun Reddy, adding more legal troubles to the MP.
