A case of SC and ST atrocity has been registered against LB Nagar BRS MLA Sudheer Reddy. Hastinapuram Corporator Banothu Sujatha has complained that Sudheer Reddy abused her in the name of caste. She said that she met CM Revanth Reddy on this matter during the assembly meeting.
Arriving at Gun Park, she made serious allegations that MLA Sudheer Reddy has been insulting her in the name of caste for the past few years and mentally harassing her, and recently abused her with the word honeymoon. She said that he is causing mental anguish.
She deplored that when women from backward classes enter politics, they should not be encouraged, but instead, they are causing mental anguish by making personal criticisms and abusing them on the basis of caste. When she complained to the police about this matter, she expressed confidence that a case of SC and ST atrocity has been registered against MLA Sudheer and that he will be punished soon.
She said that she has also complained to the Women’s Commission about this. She demanded that the BRS party should dismiss him from the party.
The protocol dispute that started small in the LB Nagar constituency has turned into a whirlwind. While the MLA laid the foundation stone for several development works, BJP Corporator Koppula Narasimha Reddy laid the foundation stone again for the same works on Monday. This started the controversy. BRS activists started agitating, asking how the MLA would do it again after laying the foundation stone.
With this, the police who entered the field pacified both the parties. After that, when the foundation stone was laid at another place, BRS leaders protested. With this, the BRS activists were arrested and taken to the Abdullapurmet police station. MLA Sudheer Reddy, who came to know about the matter, reached the PS and released them.
Knowing that the activists were injured during the arrest, MLA Sudheer Reddy expressed his anger over the police’s behavior. Later, he took them to the DCP office and informed the higher authorities about the incident. After that, he alleged that senior Congress leader Madhuyashki Goud was behind these attacks and that there was a honeymoon between the corporators.
In this context, he also mentioned the name of Hastinapuram Congress Corporator Sujatha. This further escalated the controversy. Sujatha was deeply angered by Sudheer Reddy’s comments. Many people took to the streets to protest in support of Sujatha Nayak.
Meanwhile, responding to her complaint, MLA Sudheer Reddy was angry that the SC and ST atrocity case was registered against him with political malice. He made it clear that he would face this case in court. He said that he is confident that he will get justice in court.
He accused the Congress and BJP of jointly framing an illegal case against him. He said that he will continue to expose the illicit relationship between the Congress and the BJP.
