In a startling revelation, Telangana Congress MLA Malreddy Ranga Reddy stated that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is willing to offer him a ministerial post but is unable to do so due to the lack of approval from the Congress high command in Delhi. He emphasized that the authority to allocate ministerial portfolios lies with the party leadership in the national capital, not with the Chief Minister.
Malreddy further alleged that senior Congress leader Vijayashanti managed to secure an MLC post by directly lobbying with the Delhi leadership.
This isn’t the first time Malreddy voiced his dissatisfaction. Two weeks ago, he asserted that he was the only Congress MLA to win from the Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy districts and therefore deserved a ministerial position. He even warned that if denied the post, he would work towards ensuring candidates from other parties emerge victorious in the upcoming elections.
