Hyderabad: Amrutha has reacted to the verdict in the 2018 Pranay murder case, which had drawn significant attention in the Telugu states. The SC/ST court in Nalgonda sentenced the A-2 accused to death and awarded life imprisonment to the other convicts. Following the judgment, Amrutha shared her response on social media.
She stated that justice had been served and expressed hope that the ruling would serve as a deterrent to honor-related crimes. Amrutha described the verdict as the end of a long wait and said she was overwhelmed with emotions.
Expressing gratitude, she thanked the police department, the special public prosecutor, and the media for their support. She further stated that as her son is growing up, she has prioritized her mental well-being and his future, adding that she would not be making any media appearances or holding press conferences. Amrutha urged well-wishers to respect their privacy.
