Tamil star Nayanthara is all set to return as the divine Goddess in the much-anticipated sequel to the 2020 fantasy comedy drama ‘Mookuthi Amman.’ Titled “Mookuthi Amman 2,” the film is now helmed by director Sundar C.
The sequel has officially commenced today with a grand pooja ceremony in Chennai, with regular filming expected to begin soon. Surprising everyone, Nayanthara, who always skips the events and promotions, has made an appearance and graced the launch, delighting her fans. She was seen in a red-colored saree, radiating a divine aura.
The event was graced by the film’s cast and crew, including Sundar C., Khushboo, Meena, Regina Cassandra, Hiphop Tamizha, Yogi Babu, and many others. Reports suggest that the sequel is being made on a grand scale with a massive budget, promising a visually stunning cinematic experience. Also, it is reported that Nayanthara is going on a month-long fast for this movie during the shoot. It is worth noting that the actress also underwent fasting during the prequel’s shoot.
With a massive scale, the film is being produced by Shari K. Ganesh under Vels Film International with the association of Sundar C and Khushboo Sundar’s Avni Cinemax Pvt Ltd, Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan’s Rowdy Pictures, and Ivy Entertainment.
