Son-in-laws of TDP founder NT Rama Rao, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and former minister Daggubati Venkateswara Rao came together on the same stage after almost 30 years. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu attended the `World history’ book launch program. The book was written by Daggubati Venkateswara Rao both in English and Telugu.
It was held at Gitam University in Visakhapatnam. The two have been meeting at family functions for several years. But this is the first time in 30 years that both of them have come together on the same public stage. Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu, Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, BJP MP D, Purandeswari and others participated in the program.
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said that Daggubati analyzes every issue in depth and he never thought that he would write a book. He said that he did not know that Venkateswararao had such depth.
Chandrababu said that Daggubati Venkateswararao was a special person in their family, and that they had learned a lot from NTR together and that they would fulfill the responsibilities assigned by him. He said that they have been together for 40 years.
Daggubati made interesting comments addressing his brother-in-law Chandrababu. He said that now with the advent of AI in the world, a mechanism will come up for how to live in the next 50 years. While talking about this, he jokingly commented that if you live for another 50 years, your son (Lokesh) will suffer.
Daggubati also said that he and Chandrababu have a feud, but that is true. He wants to forget all that fast and move forward. He said that he does not have any desires. He said that his desire is to be with his family, friends and ten people.
Earlier Chandrababu said that Daggubati did not practice when he was a doctor, but he practiced when he was the Minister of Health. He said that he did act in films after being a doctor. He said that this is an example of what he is like in life. He recalled that Daggubati had served in many positions in public life. Despite all the difficulties in his family, he was a very relaxed and jovial person, he added.
Chandrababu recalled that when he met him recently, when asked how he was spending his time after suddenly leaving politics, he said that he was very happy playing badminton, poker and with his grandchildren. He said, “What a wonderful life.”
