A day after Telangana Congress incharge Meenakshi Natarajan warns Congress leaders in the state that disciplinary action would be taken against those who crosses party line in the state, senior party leader and former AICC secretary Madhu Yashki has questioned the process of disciplinary action in the party.
Strongly alleging domination of Reddy community in the party under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, he accused that Congress party is `Kingdom’ of Reddys and no action will be taken against Reddys and upper caste leaders if they violate any discipline. These comments are not creating severe uproar in the party.
The former two-time MP asserted that disciplinary action should be taken against anyone who crosses the party line. He said that the same action should be taken against him, Chinna Reddy or Revanth Reddy.
Moreover, speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan itself, he questioned the Congress Disciplinary Committee President Chinna Reddy’s public allegations against his own party MLA and asked what action was taken against him? He criticized the disciplinary committee president for violating discipline.
He said that no matter how senior a grassroots activist is, the action taken against anyone violating party discipline should be the same and that there should be no room for personal preferences. He demanded that the then PCC president and the chairman of the disciplinary committee answer the question of not taking action after giving notices to some senior leaders in the past.
Similarly, Madhu Yashki made sensational comments in an interview given to a YouTube channel alleging that even the caste census conducted for BCs was being decided by upper caste leaders. He expressed anger that Jana Reddy and Kesava Rao were invited instead of inviting him, the BC leader, to the meeting held on the BC caste census.
He alleged that there was one justice for BCs and another for others in the party. Referring to MLC Teenmar Mallanna’s recent tirade against the Chief Minister, Yashki said that he is a close friend of Revanth Reddy and was also one of those who wanted Revanth Reddy to become a PCC chief. Madhu Yashki said that CM Revanth Reddy should also explain the issues raised by Teenmar Mallanna.
He alleged that Congress party disciplinary committee president Chinna Reddy had violated discipline. He made public allegations against his own party MLA Megha Reddy. Will there be disciplinary action against the disciplinary committee president?, he asked.
