South Indian actor Karthi sustained injuries while performing an action scene in his much-anticipated film Sardar 2. SJ Suryah also took part in the stunt, which was choreographed by Chethan Ramshi D’Souza. Karthi was rushed to the hospital. Doctors have prescribed a week’s rest from any physical activity for fast recovery.
With Karthi’s health as the top priority, the production team has temporarily put filming on hold. The crew has returned to Chennai, and the shoot will resume once Karthi is fit to continue. Before this, the team had successfully wrapped up the climax sequence in Chennai, while the Mysuru schedule was planned for some high-octane action scenes.
PS Mithran-directed Sardar 2 is the eagerly anticipated sequel to the 2022 blockbuster. Karthi and Rajisha Vijayan are coming back to play their roles again, while SJ Suryah, Malavika Mohanan, and Ashika Ranganath are on board in important roles. Prince Pictures is producing the film, and the music and background score are being done by Yuvan Shankar Raja. With 80% of the shoot completed, the film is shaping up to be an edge-of-the-seat watching experience.
