The obstacles have been cleared to set up the 1000-bed Basavatarakam Indo American Cancer Hospital in Amravati, the capital of Andhra Pradesh. After a request was made for the construction of Basavatarakam Hospital in Amaravati, the then TDP government, which was in power from 2014-2019, allocated 15 acres of land for this hospital.
The foundation stone was also laid to this extent. However, with the change of government in 2019, the hospital work has been stalled for the last five years. After the coalition government came to power, they have initiated steps again to set up the hospital. But, there are HT power lines passing through the land allotted to Basavatarakam Cancer Hospital, which have become an obstacle.
Three huge towers have been built next to that place and the power lines have been changed. With this obstacle removed, the construction work of the hospital will start soon. A few days ago, Hospital Chairman and Hindupur MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna also inspected the place in Amaravati.
A letter was written to the CRDA and Transco officials for permission to remove the power lines. Immediately, the power lines were set up with towers and shifted to the side. Plans have been prepared to build Basavatarakam Cancer Hospital with 300 beds in Phase-1. It is expected to be expanded to a 1000-beds later. Currently, Basavatarakam Cancer Hospital is providing services in Hyderabad.
After the bifurcation of the state, it has been decided to set up a hospital in AP as well. Basavatarakam Cancer Hospital will provide the best medical services at a low cost to those with white ration cards.
Meanwhile, NTR Memorial Trust Bhavan is going to be set up in Andhra Pradesh. To this extent, for the office of NTR Trust Bhavan, a building is going to be constructed in a modern manner in G+5 system, next to LEPL Mall, at Sai Baba Temple Road Junction, next to National Highway 16 in Vijayawada.
The construction work of this building will start soon. A few days ago, NTR Memorial Trust purchased about 600 yards of land for the building. It is known that NTR Trust is already organizing many service programs in Hyderabad and Telangana. This decision has been taken to undertake service programs in AP as well.
It is expected that this building will be completed soon and all the trust activities will start from here. Trust Managing Trustee Nara Bhuvaneswari will lay the foundation stone for the construction of this building on the 6th of this month.
