YSRCP leader and Leader of Opposition in the AP Legislative Council Botsa Satyanarayana has expressed his anger that all sections of society have been treated unfairly in the budget allocations. He alleged that the coalition government has cheated the people and ignored their promises. He lamented that the coalition government had drowned all sections.
The former minister accused that no one has benefited from the budget. He said that farmers, women and youth have been ignored. Botsa expressed his anger that the YSRCP government has allocated Rs. 3,000 crores for price stabilization, while the coalition government has allocated only Rs. 300 crores. He said that the budget has gone on as if it were self-congratulatory and self-serving.
He deplored that there is nothing in the finance minister’s budget presentation, but cursing the previous government and praising Chandrababu and Lokesh. He said that the coalition has not done anything except one or two of the promises made, which is not a guarantee. He said that they promised to allocate 15 hundred for women, Rs. 15,000 for students, and Rs. 20,000 for farmers, but the allocations are very little.
If there are 81 lakh students and they want Rs. 12,000 crores, he wondered that the allocations are Rs. 9400 crores. How will the rest be given? Where will it be collected?, he asked. Botsa stated that the previous government gave farmers’ assurance to 50 lakh people. But if Annadata Sukhibhava is given, then what is the allocation in the budget to that extent, Botsa asked.
He alleged that there is no provision for women and the unemployed. Moreover, he said that the free bus scheme has not been mentioned. He said that the condition of farmers is even worse. If in the previous government allocated Rs 3,000 crores for market intervention, now allocated only Rs. 300 crores.
He said that if Jagan fights against the problem of chilli farmers, a case will be filed against him. Did he buy even one kilo, one quintal, one bag?, he asked.
