YSRCP leader and former MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi has been reportedly avoiding replies in the three-day police custody, started on Tuesday, to various questions. According to sources, he replied that he did not know or remember any of the key questions asked by the police on the first day of police custody.
Vamsi was questioned for two and a half hours under the supervision of the investigating officer and Central ACP Damodar. It is learnt that more than 20 questions were asked of Vamsi. It is learnt that when Vamsi was questioned after showing some videos, he said that he had no connection.
It is learnt that when he was asked, “When did you meet him? Why did you meet him?” He answered all the questions in an evasive manner. The police took Vallabhaneni Vamsi into their custody on Tuesday for three days of custody. The court ordered that he be questioned between 9 am and 5 pm every day.
The custody was delayed as he had to be presented before the magistrate in a virtual manner for the extension of the remand. At 11 am, Vamsi and two other accused, Sivaramakrishna Prasad and Lakshmipathi, were taken from the jail and taken to the government hospital for medical examination.
Later, at 12.45 pm, they were brought separately to Krishna Lanka station. They were interrogated in separate rooms on the second floor. Three ACPs questioned the accused. The main accused, Vamsi, was interrogated by Investigating Officer Damodar, Lakshmipathi by Crime ACP Venkateshwarlu, and Sivaramakrishna Prasad by Traffic ACP Vamsidhar Goud.
The police allowed Vamsi to talk to his lawyers in between. After the interrogation, they were taken from the station to the hospital at 3.25 pm, underwent medical examinations, and handed over to the district jail. In a total of two and a half hours, the police asked 20 questions that had been prepared in advance. It is learned that the other two accused also told where Satya Vardhan was taken and where he was kept, but did not say who did it.
