Varalaxmi Sarathkumar recently scored a blockbuster hit with the long-delayed film Madha Gaja Raja. Riding high on its massive success, she is now gearing up for her next project, titled “Shivangi” (Lioness). Directed by Devaraj Bharani Dharan, the film stars Anandhi in the lead titular role, with Varalaxmi Sarathkumar playing a pivotal role.
Recently, Hit Machine director Anil Ravipudi unveiled the first-look poster of the film featuring Anandhi in a powerful criminal figure. Adding excitement, today, the makers revealed Varalaxmi’s first look as ‘The Mind Hunter’ Sarika Singh in this crime thriller.
In the poster, Varalaxmi is seen wearing a black shirt and grey trousers while holding a pistol in her hands. It looks like the Hanu-Man actress will be seen in a powerful cop role. Along with the poster, they also announced the film’s release date, which is scheduled for a theatrical release on March 7, 2025.
Produced by Naresh Babu P under the banner of the First Copy Movies, Shivangi is a women-centric film marking their debut production. The cast also includes John Vijay and Dr Koya Kishore in significant roles. AH Kashif and Ebenzer Paul jointly composed the music. The technical crew includes Bharani K Dharan as the DOP and Samjith Mohammad as the editor. The film team is currently busy wrapping up the post-production work.
