ADR Report: Criminal Cases Against Delhi CM Rekha Gupta, Five Ministers

The Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) has reported that newly sworn-in Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has criminal cases against her. She took oath as the Chief Minister today, along with six cabinet ministers. According to ADR, five out of the seven cabinet members, including the Chief Minister, have pending criminal cases.  

ADR further stated that Minister Ashish Sood faces serious criminal charges. The findings are based on the election affidavits submitted by the ministers. Rekha Gupta was elected as an MLA from the Shalimar Bagh constituency. The Delhi cabinet includes Parvesh Sahib Singh Verma, Ashish Sood, Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Ravinder Indraj Singh, Kapil Mishra, and Pankaj Singh. Verma secured his position by defeating former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.  

### **Two Billionaires in the Delhi Cabinet**  

Among the seven cabinet ministers, two have declared assets exceeding ₹100 crore. Manjinder Singh Sirsa, elected from the Rajouri Garden constituency, has assets worth ₹248.85 crore, according to his election affidavit. Kapil Mishra, representing Karawal Nagar, has the lowest declared assets, amounting to ₹1.06 crore. The average asset value of the Delhi cabinet ministers stands at ₹56.03 crore.  

All seven ministers, including the Chief Minister, have disclosed liabilities. Parvesh Sahib Singh has the highest liabilities, amounting to ₹74.36 crore. Educational qualifications among the ministers vary, with six having a graduate degree or higher, while one has completed 12th grade.
