New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), which remained confident of victory until polling day, has suffered a significant setback in the Delhi Assembly elections. As vote counting progresses, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is leading in most constituencies, dealing a blow to the ruling party. Key AAP leaders, including former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, and Satyendar Jain, have lost their seats amid the BJP’s strong performance.
Reacting to the election outcome, Kejriwal stated that he humbly accepts the people’s mandate and respects their decision. He extended his congratulations to the BJP on its victory.
Kejriwal emphasized that his political journey is rooted in public service and that the results would not deter his commitment. He also expressed gratitude to AAP leaders and workers for their efforts during the campaign.
Highlighting the party’s governance over the past decade, Kejriwal underscored the significant improvements in sectors such as water supply and electricity. Despite the electoral loss, he reaffirmed AAP’s commitment to serving the people. His response was conveyed through a video statement.
