The highly anticipated film Thandel, starring Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi under the direction of Chandoo Mondeti, is set for a grand release on February 7. Produced by Bunny Vasu and presented by Allu Aravind under the Geetha Arts banner, the film has completed all pre-release formalities. During a media interaction, Allu Aravind addressed the topic of ticket pricing and made some notable statements.
“In Andhra Pradesh, ticket prices are relatively lower, which is why we requested a ₹50 increase per ticket. However, we made no such request to the Telangana government, where prices have already been adjusted to ₹295 and ₹395. Thandel will not have any benefit shows—we don’t need them. The film’s budget exceeded our initial estimates, and some suggested selling distribution rights area-wise. But after watching the film, I decided against it and said, ‘Let’s release it ourselves,’” Aravind stated.
When asked whether Allu Arjun skipped the Thandel event to keep his look for his next film under wraps, Aravind tactfully sidestepped the question, stating, “Let’s keep the focus on the Thandel event.”
