TDP senior leader and Politburo member Yanamala Ramakrishnudu strongly criticized YSRCP chief Jagan Mohan Reddy’s recent statements about being in power for 30 years. Responding to Jagan’s claim that he would now focus on party workers after previously working for the people, Yanamala accused the former Chief Minister of pushing Andhra Pradesh backward during his tenure.
Yanamala alleged that despite Jagan’s 2019 election promises to transform the state, his administration instead burdened Andhra Pradesh with debts exceeding ₹12 lakh crore over five years. He dismissed Jagan’s criticism of the current alliance government’s financial management as “laughable” and accused him of misleading the public.
The TDP leader further stated that Jagan, who he described as a “tourist” visiting the state once a week, lacks credibility when discussing governance and welfare. He accused Jagan of failing marginalized communities, including SCs, STs, BCs, and minorities, and asserted that they would not support him again.
Yanamala also criticized Jagan for allegedly undermining the people’s mandate after losing the recent elections. He stated that the current government was democratically elected by the people and accused Jagan of attempting to regain power through misinformation.
“Women, who faced lawlessness during his tenure, have now regained their sense of security,” Yanamala remarked, further alleging that Jagan is now seeking political revenge through welfare schemes. He asserted that the people have seen through Jagan’s strategies and no longer trust him.
Concluding his remarks, Yanamala stated, “Jagan Mohan Reddy does not deserve 30 years in power—his actions warrant a lifetime in jail.”
