AP Cabinet Decide To Reserve 34 percent Nominated posts For BCs

The Andhra Pradesh state cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has decided on Thursday to reserve 34 percent of nominated posts for BCs. While AP Knowledge Society Capacity Building 2025 was approved, the cabinet continued to discuss the proposal to amend the Pattadar Pass Book Act.

The cabinet made a proposal on the regularization of lands and structures in the Gajuwaka revenue area. It mainly discussed the proposal to repeal the law made in 2019 providing 50 percent reservation for BCs, SCs, STs and minorities in nominated posts and to bring a new law to amend the shortcomings in it.

Also, the AP Cabinet has proposed to amend the rules to increase the tender limit for works undertaken by AP CRDA except for projects. Along with this, there was a discussion in the cabinet on upgrading the workers working in the TTD to supervisors. Proposals were made to promote them to the senior assistant cadre.

The AP Cabinet has discussed the proposal to introduce a dynamic queue management system for the registration of documents in the Stamps and Registration Department. It has proposed to provide Rs 8 lakh per acre as compensation to those who lost their lands in the Chennai-Bangalore Industrial Corridor in Tirupati district.

It has given a green signal to the proposal to increase the compensation in the areas of Tamminapatnam village of Chillakuru mandal in Tirupati district and Kothapatnam village of Kota mandal. Also, the AP Cabinet has proposed to amend the additional retail excise tax on foreign liquor, beer and FL spirits manufactured in India.

The state government had brought the MSAE policy in the past. Many incentives were given to industrialists. However, this time the cabinet approved it with minor changes. A key decision was taken in the cabinet to provide more incentives to SC and ST women industrialists. In addition to bringing industries to the state, the cabinet has taken a decision to encourage women industrialists in the state.

It is known that the money was released twice in the previous TDP government and now in the coalition government regarding the Polavaram displaced people. On the one hand, while the construction of Polavaram was going on, on the other hand, the cabinet discussed how to rehabilitate the Polavaram displaced people. The cabinet decided to pay compensation to the displaced people as soon as possible.
