Chief Minister Chandrababu has announced the launch of the ‘P4’ (Public-Private-People’s Partnership) initiative on Ugadi to tackle poverty in the state. The program aims to bridge economic disparities by encouraging the top 10% of the affluent population to support the bottom 20%, ensuring effective poverty alleviation. To facilitate public participation, the government will introduce a dedicated portal to gather suggestions and feedback for the program’s implementation.
During a review meeting with the Planning Department at the Secretariat, CM Chandrababu discussed the framework of the P4 initiative with officials. He emphasized that industrialists, NRIs, and financially stable individuals are showing interest in supporting poverty eradication efforts. The government intends to consolidate these contributions under a structured mechanism.
A special survey will be conducted to identify economically weaker sections, ensuring targeted assistance. The Chief Minister has directed officials to collect and analyze relevant data for effective implementation. Several industrialists have already expressed interest in developing their native villages and mandals. The government plans to officially launch the P4 initiative on Ugadi, inviting key contributors to participate in the program’s inauguration.
