Raghurama Krishnam Raju says If Jagan continue Absent From Assembly, By-poll In Pulivendula Must

AP Assembly Deputy Speaker Raghurama Krishnaraju said that he wanted YSRCP chief and former Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy to come to the Assembly and express his feelings. He said it is not proper to be absent from the Assembly proceedings as an MLA as he was not accorded the status of Leader of Opposition.

He wondered if the Speaker and CM would give him the opposition status? He made it clear that people should give such a status to any one. If he attended the Assembly, he assured that they would treat him with all respect. But, if he continues absenting from the Assembly he will be disqualified.

He recalled that as per the Assembly procedures if any member is absent continuously for 60 days without asking for leave or any valid reason he will be disqualified automatically. Then, he said the by-election in Pulivendula constituency will become certain.

With regard to his custodial torture case and the role of former CID chief PV Sunil Kumar in it, the Deputy Speaker said that he has given complaint as an victim and he believes that justice will be done to him. He also said that he has full faith in this government and the guilty will be punished.

Moreover, he asserted that he will continue his legal battle seeking justice. He said that the role of Sunil Kumar was established in this case beyond any doubt, though he managed to remove videos on YouTube to suppress evidence against him.

He reminded that he had made many complaints in the past and provided several pieces of evidence with regard to misuse of his official position. He said that he has faith in the judicial system and also commitment of the present government so that the guilty will be punished as per the law.

He recalled after the Supreme Court gave verdict on SC Classification, being an IPS officer Sunil Kumar has spoken as he pleased violating all norms.
