CM Chandrababu Approved Investments In Rs 44,776 crore worth 15 projects

The third meeting of the AP State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) chaired by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has approved key proposals for investments of Rs 44,776 corre, in a total of 15 projects. It has approved investments of Rs 44,776 crore.

The CM also discussed the status of the projects approved in the last two meetings and  issued orders to expedite the process to lay the foundation stone for major projects like ArcelorMittal Steel in Anakapalle and BPCL at Ramayapatnam within three months.

The SIPB has approved the 2300 MW project to be set up by Navayuga Engineering Limited in Alluri district. Approval was given for the establishment of a power generation project worth Rs 14,328 crore. Megha Engineering Limited has submitted a proposal to set up a pumped storage project in Annamaya district. It  has approved this proposal to invest Rs. 10,300 crore.

Aspery Limited has been approved to set up a 118 MW power generation project in Anantapur and Sathya Sai districts. Anantapur Renewable Private Limited has been approved in Anantapur with an investment of Rs. 972 crore. Kadapa Renewable Limited has been approved in Sathya Sai district with an investment of Rs. 1163 crore.

Ecorin’s proposal to set up a 201 MW wind power project has been approved by SIPB. Ayana Renewable Power Limited has been approved in Kurnool district with an investment of Rs. 4435 crore. Ampin has been approved for a 350 MW wind and solar power plant to be set up with an investment of Rs. 3142 crore.

The SIPB has approved SAEL’s proposal to set up a 600 MW solar plant at a cost of Rs 3456 crore. The State Investment Promotion Board has given the green signal to Tata Power to set up a 400 MW solar power plant in Anantapur at a cost of Rs 2,000 crore.

In today’s competitive environment, the CM advised officials to implement and demonstrate speed of doing business to get results. The CM instructed the Chief Secretary to review the permits at the state level and the field level works with the Collectors.
