CM Chandrababu says AP’s Finances Deteriorated worse Than Bihar During YCP’s Regime

Stating that the state has become sick due to the economic devastation of the YSRCP regime, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu deplored that the state has deteriorated worse than Bihar. Speaking at the Secretariat in Tadepalli on the occasion of the NITI Aayog report, he said that the state has got 17th rank in the NITI Aayog report.

He said that AP is at the last place in the Physical Health Index and the growth rate has reached a terrible situation. He said that the situation of AP has deteriorated further in the NITI Aayog report and accused that the YSRCP regime has left AP in financial difficulties and it is not clear what has been done with all the money.

The CM said that all the properties have been mortgaged and finally the MRO offices have been mortgaged. He said that just as the body needs health, a state needs to improve its economic situation. Chandrababu said that the NITI Aayog report is proof that the state is ruined.

He said that the state has many problems, and he does not understand what the previous government did without solving them. He said that to know how a state is, we can tell from the economic situation.

Chandrababu said that for the state to improve, it is necessary to create wealth, and on the one hand, it is our responsibility to pay salaries and lead it on the path of development. He said that a good state has been pushed into debt, and now there is no situation to give loans to our state.

He said that the GNP has increased by 33, and if loans are taken, AP does not have the capacity to pay them again. Chandrababu questioned that the state does not have a capital, and Polavaram has not been completed either, and what has the YSRCP government done? He said that the growth rate of the state has completely fallen and the state’s financial situation is sad to see.

The Chief Minister pointed out that if the growth rate had been maintained in the last five years since 2019, the state’s wealth would have increased significantly. Instead, he explained that the state is now burdened with a debt of Rs. 9.5 lakh crore and is also responsible for paying interest on those loans.

However, Chandrababu Naidu assured the people that his government is working to restore the systems and bring stability to all sectors and that there will be no compromise on welfare programs under any circumstances. He made it clear that we will not take a single step back in the implementation of welfare schemes.
