After the coalition government took power in the state, IT companies are coming forward to start operations in Visakhapatnam. Google and other well-known companies are showing interest in operating their centers here.
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and IT Minister Nara Lokesh, as part of their Davos visit, held discussions with the relevant organizations to set up a data center, AI development center, global business center, chip manufacturing center, and global capability center (GCC).
However, identifying the need for creating appropriate infrastructure to attract investment from internationally known companies, the officials are preparing the iconic building complex of the Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Region Development Authority (VMRDA). It is expected to be inaugurated by CM Chandrababu in the first week of February.
A multi-storey car parking facility (MLCP) is being constructed on 11 floors in the shape of a ship in the heart of Visakhapatnam city. 1.90 lakh square feet of space on five floors of this building will be used for parking, and 1.65 lakh square feet on six floors will be used for office purposes.
This building has been built with all the latest facilities. Along with parking facilities, this building has been beautifully built with glass to allow air and light to enter. AP branding to increase: With spacious premises ready for data incubation centers and global capability centers, there is a plan to allocate this entire building to GCCs and multinational companies.
The government is waiting for a reputable company to start operations in this building immediately and provide employment to the youth of the state. Since there is a state-of-the-art building with all the facilities in the middle of Visakhapatnam city, it is expected that a branding will be created if famous companies come. A decision on this building is likely to be taken by the Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, who has just returned from Davos.
