After Pawan Kalyan’s pressure, AP Govt. Cancels YS Jagan’s Saraswati Power Lands

Following pressure from the Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, the AP government has cancelled lands acquired by former chief minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s Saraswati Power and Industries. The Machavaram Tahsildar in Palnadu district has issued a statement canceling the registrations of government and assigned lands in Saraswati Power lands.

Among the Saraswati Power lands, there are 20 acres in Vemavaram of Machavaram mandal and 4.84 acres in Pinnelli. It is known that the Machavaram Tahsildar has submitted a report to the Collector to this extent stating that the government lands have been registered incorrectly. The Collector has been requested to allow the cancellation of those documents.

Later, as per the government procedure, the Tahsildar reported to the Piduguralla Sub-Registrar. The tahsildar went to the sub-registrar’s office with the assigned land documents and completed all the work related to the cancellation of the registration. Later, it was announced that the registrations of a total of 24.84 acres (20 acres in Vemavaram, 4.84 acres in Pinnelli) of government lands in the name of Saraswati Power were being cancelled.

The government during the united Andhra Pradesh state allotted lands to Saraswati Power Industries in Machavaram and Dachepalli mandals under the Gurajala constituency. However, it has become a matter of debate that no industry has been set up on those lands even after almost 15 years.

Moreover, the farmers who gave the lands to Saraswati Power are also facing difficulties due to lack of proper employment. There have been allegations that there are assigned lands in these lands along with lands belonging to the forest department. According to government rules and laws, the sale and purchase of assigned lands is not allowed.

Soon after the coalition government came to power in AP, Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan himself entered the field. He ordered to identify if there were revenue, forest, ponds, ponds, and assigned lands in the lands belonging to Saraswati Power Industries.

It is known that after investigating to this extent, the officials were ordered to conduct a survey in the lands and he himself went and inspected the lands.  Then the officials immediately conducted a survey in those lands and concluded that there were assigned lands.
