Tollywood heartthrob Vijay Devarakonda’s upcoming period drama which is tentatively titled ‘VD12’ is undoubtedly one of the most eagerly awaited films this year. Despite the fact that Vijay’s last two outings left no trace at the box office, the buzz surrounding VD12 is quite significant because it has Jersey fame director Gautham Tinnanuri at the helm and has the backing of successful production house Sithara Entertainments Banner.
Touted to be a spy thriller, the big-budget entertainer will release in two parts. The makers initially locked Match 28th as the release date. However, the latest reports suggest that the team has now sealed May 30th as the new release date. As the filming got delayed due to the scale of the project, the team decided to move the release date to late Summer.
The span and canvas of the film is very big and will surpass the expectations of audiences as per the version of producer Naga Vamshi in his recent media interaction. Another reason why VD12 is making big noise is because it has music score by Anirudh Ravichander.
The shooting formalities are progressing at a brisk pace and the team will kick start the promotions very soon. The first look posters already triggered massive buzz on the film. Vijay will appear as a cop for the first time in his career. The female lead details are kept under wraps as of now.
