Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, Minister Nara Lokesh, and Union Minister Rammohan Naidu participated in the NDRF Foundation Day celebrations held in Kondapavuluru. Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Chandrababu commended Amit Shah for his innovative approach to governance and disaster management, emphasizing his role in maintaining law and order across the country.
“Amit Shah’s determination to address national issues is unparalleled. His innovative methods, such as real-time monitoring through dashboards, demonstrate his exceptional leadership. I have seen many Home Ministers, but Shah is the first to work with such dedication and depth. He approaches every issue with precision, operating like a mission,” Chandrababu said, adding that Shah has been instrumental in combating terrorism and Naxalism effectively.
Challenges and Progress in Andhra Pradesh
Reflecting on Andhra Pradesh’s journey, Chandrababu highlighted the state’s financial difficulties during the coalition government’s tenure, stating, “When we assumed office, Andhra Pradesh was burdened with ₹10 lakh crore debt. With the Centre’s support, the state has stabilized, though challenges remain.”
He appreciated the Centre’s ₹15,000 crore funding for Amaravati’s development and noted that construction is progressing steadily. Regarding the Polavaram project, Chandrababu shared confidence in completing it by April 2027 under the Centre’s guidance.
Key Achievements and Aspirations
The Chief Minister praised the Central government’s ₹11,440 crore financial package to revive the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant and acknowledged Prime Minister Modi’s inauguration of the Visakhapatnam Railway Zone. He urged the Centre to extend further support for the Godavari-Banakacharla project.
Outlining Andhra Pradesh’s development goals, Chandrababu said, “We are working towards Prime Minister Modi’s Vision 2047. With a focused approach, Andhra Pradesh aims to contribute significantly to India’s rise as a global leader by 2047.”
