Victory Venkatesh’s clean slate family drama Sankranti ki Vastunnam, which is regarded as the dark horse of the festival season due to low budget and simple casting, is all set to emerge as a clear winner of the season. Despite facing heavy competition from Ram Charan’s Game Changer and Balakrishna’s Daaku Maharaj, the film emerged as a the first choice for moviegoers during the festival week.
Sankranti ki Vastunnam embarked on a phenomenal opening on its first day with 45 Crores gross worldwide. Considering the limited release and fact that it was last film of the festival, trade circles opined that this is a sensational start at the box office. As the film garnered unanimous reviews and promising word of mouth, the footfalls in all territories are mind-blowing.
The Anil Ravipudi directional showed a solid hold on the second day with 32 Crores gross to take the overall total to 77 Crores in just two days. With the Thursday advances showing a impressive trend due to the strong demand for tickets, the film is likely to surpass the 100 Crores gross in three days. There are good chances for the film to collect more than 200 Crores gross in its full run and turn out to be huge blockbuster for all buyers.
The nonstop comedy factor and chartbuster songs helped the film receive a big thumbs up from family audiences. This is the third film under Venky – Ravipudi combination. F2 emerged as big hit in their careers. Now, Sankranti ki Vastunnam is likely to surpass the collections of F2 in the next few days.
