Telangana Government Announces Rythu Bharosa Scheme Guidelines

The Telangana government has announced a festive gift for farmers ahead of Sankranti by providing a crucial update on the Rythu Bharosa scheme. The government has decided to implement the scheme from January 26, increasing the financial assistance to Rs 12,000 per acre.

According to the newly issued guidelines, the scheme’s benefits will be extended only to agricultural lands registered in the Dharani portal. Non-agricultural lands will be excluded from the scheme. The government also clarified that beneficiaries under the Forest Rights Act (ROFR pattadars) are eligible for Rythu Bharosa assistance.

The financial aid will be directly credited to farmers’ bank accounts through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system.

The government order stated that the Department of Agriculture would oversee the implementation of the Rythu Bharosa scheme, with the National Informatics Centre (NIC) acting as the IT partner. District collectors will be responsible for executing the scheme at the district level and addressing any grievances related to its implementation.
