There is a growing dissatisfaction regarding the lack of priority in regard to darshan at Tirumala. Several other leaders of the region express their disappointment with being considered as if they are the lowest form of people for being ignored and insulted. The state was made aware of its attention through Telangana leaders, who expressed their discontent over the scarcity of access offered to the temple.
In response, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has made a right move to ease the issue. After a discussion with the TTD Board Chairman B.R. Naidu was assured that from now on, the recommendation letters from Telangana ministers, MLAs, MPs, and MLCs will be accepted for darshan by the government.
As part of the new deal, up to four recommendation letters will be allowed every week: two for regular darshan and two for special darshan, at a ₹300 charge for the latter. This has been a result of the repeated appeals made by the Telangana leaders. TRS MLA and former minister Harish Rao, who had requested TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu to make the arrangements, was one among them. Following several deliberations with CM Chandrababu Naidu, an agreement has been finally reached, and it has ensured that the representatives of Telangana will face less hassle in getting access to darshan at the revered Tirumala temple.
