Following the disastrous stampede at Sandhya Theatre, where Pushpa – 2 was being screened at the premier event, the film’s unit announced financial support to the mourning family of the deceased Revathi. They have promised to provide a total of Rs. 2 crores. Allu Aravind met Dil Raju at the hospital where one of the victims, Sri Teja, is being treated. Even though his health remains serious, doctors did express promising signs of his recovery.
The Pushpa – 2 team, including superstar Allu Arjun, director Sukumar, and Mythri Movie Makers, have all come together to show their solidarity with the affected family. Previously, Allu Arjun had donated Rs. 25 lakhs, but now the team has decided to increase their contribution. Sukumar also took the time to visit Sri Teja and his family at the hospital, offering his support during this challenging time.
In addition to these efforts, Minister Komatireddy Venkata Reddy has already contributed Rs. 25 lakhs to the family. The breakdown of the Rs. 2 crore donation includes Rs. 1 crore from Allu Arjun, Rs. 50 lakhs from Sukumar, and Rs. 50 lakhs from Mythri Movie Makers.
Dil Raju has also committed to helping Sri Teja’s family further by offering employment opportunities to Sri Teja’s father within the film industry. To discuss the incident further, a meeting with Chief Minister Revanth is scheduled for tomorrow. Industry leaders will meet on the issue and discuss the various matters with the government, including issues like cancellation of benefit shows and the hike in ticket price. The discussions in this meeting would be very important and necessary to resolve the continuing issues and ensure that tragedy of this kind is never repeated again.
