Vijayawada MP Kesineni Shivnath announced that infrastructure facilities will be developed in Vijayawada city by spending over Rs 1,000 crore. Stating that the people of the city have faced many difficulties due to the recent floods, he assured that Vijayawada will be kept at the forefront in the state by providing all the necessary infrastructure facilities to the city as part of the Amrut scheme, along with the funds coming from the central government.
He said that the DPR has also been prepared to provide all the necessary infrastructure facilities. MP Kesineni Shivnath and MLA Gadde Rammohan on Tuesday inaugurated the construction work of the CC roads at Tickle Road and Geetanjali Apartment Street in the 8th division of the city’s East constituency at an estimated cost of about Rs 9 lakh.
He said that Chandrababu Naidu developed the city in the year 2014-19, and now he will develop it further in a way that will make that development unforgettable. He said that not only underground drainage works are being undertaken in the city, but the drainage system is being fully developed.
He said that roads, drainage and STPs have been constructed and all the roads in the city will be constructed without any inconvenience to the people. MLA Gadde Ramamohan accused that the YSRCP has not held a district development meeting even once in the last five years of its rule.
He said that holding these meetings will enable ministers and public representatives to discuss the issues of how to develop the district, formulate a plan and develop it accordingly. Within five months of the coalition government coming to power, MP Kesineni Shivnath not only held a special meeting on district development, but also held a DDRC meeting under the leadership of District In-charge Minister Satyakumar Yadav to discuss the development of the district.
He alleged that during the rule of YS Jaganmohan Reddy, development has not been done anywhere in the state except for all the sins. He said that during the last five years of YSRCP rule, not a single sewer in the city was cleared, which is why the roads in the city are turning into ponds even with a little rain. He said that after their government came to power, the sewers were cleared and cleaned.
