Dil Raju, the well-known film producer and newly appointed Chairman of the Telangana Film Development Corporation (FDC), is actively working to calm the rising tensions between the film industry and the state government. This comes in the wake of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s recent comments in the state assembly, where he had criticized Tollywood over the Allu Arjun issue and imposed a ban on benefit shows, raising a question about the impact it might have on big-ticket films in Telangana.
After returning from the U.S. to promote his much-awaited film Game Changer, Dil Raju wasted no time in stepping into action. He visited the family of a stampede victim in the hospital and offered them heartfelt support with promises of assistance, which included a job offer to the victim’s relative. Dil Raju revealed that it was Revanth Reddy’s suggestion that he reach out to the family during this difficult time.
As FDC Chairman, Dil Raju expressed his commitment to bridging the divide between the government and the film industry. He plans to meet with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy in the coming days to discuss and resolve the ongoing concerns. Dil Raju also intends to meet with Allu Arjun to help ease tensions and restore harmony within the industry.
With Game Changer set for a January 10 release, Dil Raju’s involvement comes at a crucial time. His efforts are expected to play a significant role in addressing the current challenges faced by the film industry and ensure smoother paths for future big films in the state.
