Former Chief Minister and YSR Congress party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has made Bengaluru palace as his permanent residence after facing a harrowing defeat in the assembly elections of 2024 in the hands of NDA. He shifted from Tadepalli to Bengaluru in June this year and occasionally making trips to Andhra Pradesh. He is staying connected with his cadre from social media posts and raising voice against the government through press meets once in a while.
On the eve of Christmas festival, Jagan landed in his home district Kadapa for a four day trip to take part in various activities and to woo his supporters. He landed in Kadapa today morning along with his mother YS Vijayamma and his wife YS Bharathi. He paid floral tributes to his father YS Rajasekhar Reddy’s cemetery in Idupulapaya and later met his cadre to exchange pleasantries.
On Wednesday, Jagan will take part in Christmas celebrations in CSI Church in the morning and will later open a Ramalayam in a small village. Later, he will start for his home constituency Pulivendula and stay there in the night. He will preside over a Praja Darbhar on Thursday morning during which he will hear grievances of his people. It will last for more than 7 hours as per the schedule. On 27th, Jagan will attend a marriage ceremony in Pulivendula and will later start off to Bengaluru after completing his trip.
As Jagan’s residence in Tadepalli was modified as the central office of YSRCP, he moved to Bengaluru and making visits to the state once in two weeks. He is planning to go into the publication from early next year and expose the NDA government.
After he was denied Opposition status in the state assembly, Jagan has decided to skip the sessions with the pretext that he won’t be respected without Opposition leader status. YSRCP won a meagre 11 seats this time from its 151 tally in 2019.
