Former minister Perni Nani and his family are facing serious allegations regarding the disappearance of ration rice from a godown. Perni Nani’s wife, Jaya Sudha, has been named Accused No. 1 (A1), while godown manager Manasa Teja has been listed as Accused No. 2 (A2). Jaya Sudha has already sought anticipatory bail by filing a petition in the district court.
In the latest development, police issued notices to Perni Nani and his son, Perni Krishnamurthy (Kittu), summoning them for questioning. In response, both have approached the Andhra Pradesh High Court, filing quash petitions to annul the police notices. The High Court is scheduled to hear the petitions on December 24.
