How Tollywood embraced Allu Arjun after his release from jail in a flamboyant display of solidarity was evident when the meet and greet ocassion was captured and made viral intentionally by the media channels. This overaction has backfired on Allu Arjun after Chief Minister Revanth Reddy openly condemned it during the assembly and also led to the exposure of the real facts behind the incident.
All those who went to Allu Arjun in show of support and also called him over phone to express sympathy are now maintaining stoic silence after the shocking developments on Saturday and Sunday. Firstly, no one dared to question the authenticity of Chief Minister’s statements in the house. Not even a single person related to Tollywood open his mouth on the matter in the last two.
They are unable to counter the police department which cornered Allu Arjun with adequate proofs on Sunday. Even though a suspended officer named Vishnu Murthy held a press meet at press club in Hyderabad and foul mouthed Allu Arjun and also abused the film industry, no one has got the guts to at least condemn the defamatory statements made by him with are absolutely unnecessary and over-the-top.
On the day of arrest and after the release of Allu Arjun, many from Tollywood expressed support to him through social media platforms and also went to his residence as a sign of support. But, the scenario has completely changed in the last two days. Many have reportedly changed their opinion on the issue and decided to stay silent.
Though it was not entirely Allu Arjun’s fault, it is believed that Tollywood is not happy with his behaviour after he was informed about the death of the lady during the stampede. Talk in the film nagar is that many have decided to distance away from Allu Arjun in this matter and not to interfere much further.
By staying silent , Tollywood seems to be indirectly hinting that what Revanth Reddy spoke in assembly was correct and the arrest by the police was not illegal.
